Dr. Franco Koo – Senior Veterinarian | B.V.Sc

Dr. Franco Koo graduated from the University of Queensland and commenced at Colyton Veterinary Hospital as a new graduate veterinarian. Franco worked for many years at CVH prior to embarking on further studies and training at a referral hospital in Western Sydney. Franco’s internship focused in small animal surgery. Upon completion of the internship Franco spent some time locuming around Sydney to increase his exposure.

With this new found knowledge and skills, Franco has returned to Colyton Veterinary Hospital on a full time basis.

Franco is competent in 3 languages and is an avid cat lover/owner.

Franco works Monday to Thursday and some weekends.

Got a same day booking which was appreciated. However couldn't help but notice the consultation room didn't look very clean. There was a towel on the consulting table covered in other animals hair and had a spot of blood and insect on there didn't like the idea of then putting my own dog on it. Staff could have been a bit more friendly but maybe cause it was busy that had an impact.

my dog has had far more thorough checkups from far more interested, gentle animal-lovers. It wasn't awful but i won't be returning as it wasn't good enough for my boy

I highly recommend this veterinary clinic. I take my precious little girl here & no where else. Whenever she is sick they always give her the best care and always give proper diagnosis. They also looked after her really well when she had surgery there and I completely trusted them. The staff are also very friendly and lovely. They are sympathetic to your concerns and do their best to not unnecessarily worry you and make sure you feel okay as the pet’s loving owner. They listen to any concerns you may have and they don’t rush you during your session with the vet and happy to answer any questions at all that you may have. The clinic is very clean as well! I’ve even freaked out one time in the middle of the night while the vet was closed and when I called the vet Dr. he was happy to drive from his home 30 minutes away and go to the vet clinic just to see what was wrong with my little princess. They are also very helpful with helping you with your insurance claims!

Very nice clean and modern vet clinic , the staff seem very knowlegable and friendly , but they know how to charge , be warned . They are open 7 days which is good for an emergency .

Great vet in the 2770 area, when my parrot died, because we where so distraught, the dr waved her fees for that consultation. Shows that they really care, and not just a business to make money.

Very happy with this practice! We were one of those ones who did a walk-in with our cat with a sore leg, but there was no hesitations in seeing him. Dr. Pieter was brilliant, would definitely recommend him! He provided possible diagnoses, and then treatment (including further investigation), all of which was explained in easy to understand terms which made proceeding with everything a no-brainer.

The vet failed to identify the problem with my hen and my hen passed away. I bought a bunch of medicines from this place but they were of no use and a waste of money. The receptionist was really nice and the vet was fairly nice. The cost of the appointment was considerably less than other vet places.

Amazing! The staff are beyond caring and supported us through a very difficult time with our dog. We cannot thank the staff enough for everything they have done for our Lolah and our family especially Ingrid and Dr Chris.. Excellent veterinary clinic I highly recommended them!

Mixed review for the staff. I found a severely injured cat outside our work place, rang this clinic to ask if I could bring it in and despite vets having a duty of care to all animals, the girl was extremely rude, eventually but seemingly not happy about it she stated I could bring it in. Once there, I spoke with who was clearly another staff member and she was more than compassionate and helpful.
Having said that, a few years ago we had to get our old girl put to sleep and they were so very caring and compassionate.

Have only been here to have pets euthanized so can't say much about the other services. Seems to be no organization of triage i.e they are happy to let a pet suffer whilst they make sure others get their immunizations first.

Reception staff efficient and friendly. Older male vet professional but aloof.

Had my little 13 year old female Jack Russell Pixie in hospital for 4 days with gastroenteritis. Dr Daisy took VERY good care of her & now she is home on a new diet & full of energy.😁❤🐕

Great clinic, vets and nurses! We have to say a huge thank you to everyone who looked after our dog Dexter during a recent surgery which saved his life. The staff were always polite and accommodating during our visits.

We also had the same positive experience a while back with an unrelated knee operation for Dexter.

Dr Chris looked after us during both operations. Thanks goes out to you all!!

My Pup-Pup was was suffering from early stage Parvovirus.
The Doctors were able to keep my pup from stress.
Additional support was advisely given when my funds was efficient at the time, helping me in making payment in other ways instead of upfront. My pup is recovering and wagging his tail.
I fully recommend this Vet clinic and will continue to be a customer in years to come.

Yesterday we visited the hospital with my elderly Jack Russell & were seen by Dr. Pieter Bothma who was fantastic with our dog and explained his condition & treatment really well. Was very quick despite us arriving 20mins earlier than our appointment. Very pleased!
